This unique, symetrical sextatonic music scale allows for some interesting musical effects. It consists entirely of whole-steps and contains no Minor 2nd, Minor 3rd, Perfect 4th, Perfect 5th, Major 6th, or even Major 7th intervals. This creates the possibility for harmonies and melodies of a rather odd and distinct nature. The harmonies from each degree mirror one another, which allows you to move any of its chord formations an even number of intervals using the same fingerings. |

This eight-note music scale is a symetrical stack which is based on a half step-whole step interval combination built from the root tone. The extra scale tone allows for many additional harmonic and melodic influences to be expressed. There are useful Minor #7, Minor b5 Dominant and altered Dominant possibilites. This is a good scale for adding complexity or simplicity to a measure. Note the number of Minor 3rds and tension! |

This sexatonic music scale flattens the second and third scalar degrees of the previous Whole-Tone scale. Because all interval combinations are now represented, good potential for diverse harmonies and melodies can be found. Although some tense altered Minor7b5 chords are suggested, this scale is capable of some really interesting inversions. |
