This music scale is derived modally from the Major Scale's second degree and is commonly referred to as the Dorian Mode (Scale), I view this stack as I do all of the Major Scale derived modes, which is basically "same stack - different emphasis". Note the location of the half steps. The b3 and b7th dictate its character. We could logically select this scale to play through from CMinor7 to its other degrees, such as DMin7b9. |
